jēan-ŏ-logy was established in June 2006 by owner Andrew Jackson, in collaboration with retail business consultant, Cedric B Nichols. They’re combined efforts created a denim and accessories boutique with an outstanding atmosphere that caters to the comfort and exclusivity of its customers in the Cleveland metropolitan area. There are two major components to looking good in a pair of jeans. That brings us to our name and our philosophy. Jēan-ŏ-logy is a mindset that encompasses the art and science of wearing jeans. The “art” is knowing who you are, which allows you to be comfortable with the style that you choose. This style may change or vary dependent upon the mood or occasion. The best part of the “art” is that there are many “looks” that you can achieve by pulling from your own experience and preferences. Don’t be afraid to be yourself or to express your individuality. The “science” is found in the fit and type of jean you prefer. Jēan-ŏ-logy’s offerings come in a variety of styles and sizes for every fit or figure.
We understand the unique style of each of our customers, which is why we purposely buy small quantities and do not shop in the typical markets. By doing so, our customers are given a different mix of items than what’s offered in other retail locations and a sense of exclusiveness. We continually meet our customer’s expectations by combining classic denim with trendy looks and apparel. We carry approximately 30 brands in women and men’s denim. For women, brands include True Religion, Flying Monkey, Allan B, Seven for All Mankind, and one of our best selling brands, PZI, which provides the ultimate fit for women with curves. For men, we carry popular brands like 5-4, Monarchy, Joe’s Jeans, Jordan Craig, and many more. We carry sizes 0 to 22 in women’s denim and 32 to 42 in men’s jeans. Regular pricing for denim range anywhere from $35 to $225 for some premium brands. To accent any pair of jeans, we carry both men and women’s apparel including shirts and blouses, tanks, t-shirts, sweaters, and jackets. Along with the wide variety denim and apparel, we offer many accessories like hats, caps, belts, watches, jewelry, sunglasses, handbags and more.
In addition to the major brands we carry, we further promote our unique offerings by partnering with many local designers to provide an outlet for them to showcase and sell their designs. We also offer custom tailoring and alterations through our in-store Just Hem tailoring service. Our tailor, Lapolean Jamerson, has 25 years of experience in creating the “custom fit” by using unique methods and techniques that make your jeans and apparel fit like they were made with you in mind.
